The invention provides a production process for a special base fertilizer applied to cultivation of Codonopsis pilosula, belonging to the technical field of planting. The production process comprisesthe following concrete steps: 1, digging out a large pit with a length of 2 m, a width of 2 m and a depth of 2 m; 2, mixing sheep manure, cattle manure, pig manure and ordinary superphosphate according to a ratio of 2: 2: 2: 1 and carrying out uniform mixing through turning; 3, cutting the stalk of Codonopsis pilosula into sections with lengths of 5 to 10 cm, uniformly laying the Codonopsis pilosula sections on the bottom of the pit, adding a layer of the mixture of sheep manure, cattle manure, pig manure and ordinary superphosphate for each 40-cm-deep layer of the Codonopsis pilosula sectionsand sprinkling 0.1 to 1% of an organic material decomposing agent and a small amount of water; 4, stopping feeding when to-be-composted materials are aligned with or slightly higher than the ground level; 5, covering the top of the to-be-composted materials with a fine soil layer with a thickness of 5 to 10 cm, sprinkling water and compacting fine soil, or covering the top of the to-be-compostedmaterials with an 8-[mu]m-thick plastic film and compacting the periphery of the plastic film with soil; and 6, carrying out composting fermentation for one month and applying the obtained base fertilizer to a Codonopsis pilosula cultivation field before cultivation of Codonopsis pilosula in early spring, wherein 1000 kg of the base fertilizer is applied to each mu of a field.
