The invention discloses a system and method for measuring the broadband impedance characteristic of large-scale electrical equipment. At present, no one has proposed a wiring mode of utilizing relatively long coaxial cables to measure the broadband impedance characteristic of large-scale electrical equipment yet. The measurement system includes an impedance analyzer, a measurement port of the impedance analyzer is connected two first coaxial cables, two ends of shielding layers of the two first coaxial cables are connected to the ground or initial ends are connected to the ground and tail endsare shorted, and tail ends of core wires of the two first coaxial cables are used for being connected with equipment under test. The measurement system provided by the invention adopts any one of twoconnecting modes of coaxial cable shielding layers, i.e., two ends of the shielding layers are connected to the ground or the initial ends of the shielding layers are connected to the ground and thetail ends are shorted, so that influence of spatial position change of long cables on electric parameters of the cables, and a measurement result of the broadband impedance characteristic of the electrical equipment is accurate.
