Provided are a conveyance device capable of performing a running operation and a rotating operation, a planar conveyance apparatus, and a conveyance unit. The conveyance device 1 has: a running part 5including a belt 2 on which a material is to be placed; and a rotating base 6 supporting the running part 5. The belt 2 is an endless member suspended between a pair of rollers 3. The belt 2 runs when being engaged with a driver 4 to which the power from a motor 9 for running is transferred by a drive shaft 14. The rotating base 6 rotates when the power from a motor 8 for rotating is transferredthereto. Specifically, if the motor 8 for rotating is driven, the running part 5 rotates along with the rotating base 6.
