The invention discloses a fluorenyl triangular-prism-shaped organic cage compound, and a preparation method and an application of the compound. The preparation method comprises performing cyclization on fluorenyl dimeric tertiary alcohol under a Friedel-Crafts reaction which is catalyzed by an acid to obtain the fluorenyl triangular-prism-shaped organic cage compound. The fluorenyl triangular-prism-shape organic molecular cage has a large cavity and specific surface area, has good solubility, good heat, electrochemistry and optics stability, and thus has wide application prospects in the fields of organic light emitting devices, molecular recognition, porous materials, supramolecular chemistry and the like.
