Superhydrophobic nanometer coating and a preparing method thereof are disclosed. Reactants of the coating include, by weight, 5-8 parts of tetraethoxysilane, 70-80 parts of absolute alcohol, 0.01-0.2 part of methyltriethoxysilane, 5-10 parts of distilled water, 0.1-0.3 part of a fluorine-containing coupling agent and 12-15 parts of a catalyst. The coating has good superhydrophobic effects. Time for production is short so that the production efficiency is increased. After coating, the contact angle to water drops is large and the rolling angle to water drops is small. The coating can achieve fingerprint preventing, snow cover preventing, frosting preventing, condensation preventing, scratch resisting, water proofing, easy cleaning, doodling preventing, smooth and fine hand feel improving, microbe proofing, and other characteristics on surfaces of various types of materials.
