It is presented a method for determining radio channel metrics for radio communication between a plurality of remote radio heads and a wireless device. The method is performed in a remote radio head controller and comprising the steps of: selecting a first set of at least one remote radio head, selected from the plurality of remote radio heads; selecting a second set of at least one remote radio head, the second set differing from the first set; configuring at least one switch such that only the remote radio heads of the first set communicate radio signals using a first radio branch; configuring at least one switch such that only the remote radio heads of the second set communicate radio signals using a second radio branch; determining a first radio channel metric for radio communication with the wireless device using the first radio branch of the remote radio heads; and determining a second radio channel metric for radio communication with the wireless device using the second radio branch of the remote radio heads.
