The invention relates to a method for comprehensive and efficient treatment of coking wastewater. The method comprises the following steps: a, performing oil separation; b, adjusting the water quality and the water quantity in an adjusting tank; c, removing ammonia; d, performing electrolysis, and performing ultraviolet light treatment on the wastewater at the same time; e, performing degradation in an aerobic tank; and f, performing sedimentation in a secondary sedimentation tank, and enabling an supernatant to meet a discharge standard. According to the method provided by the invention, a break point chlorination treatment is carried out in an ammonia removal tank to enable the ammonia concentration to be reduced to zero; an electrolytic tank forms an electromagnetic field between electrodes through a direct-current power supply at a normal temperature under a normal pressure, and forms a multivariate electrode effect by matching with a composite catalyst in the electrolytic tank; under the synergistic action of oxygen and the catalyst, the generation of hydroxyl radicals is promoted efficiently and rapidly; the hydroxyl radicals have extremely-strong oxidizability to degrade high-concentration organic contaminants which are difficult to degrade, thereby improving the biodegradability; an aerobic treatment is carried out in the aerobic tank; and finally, after the sedimentation in the secondary sedimentation tank, the water quality of the supernatant reaches the discharge standard.
