The invention relates to the field of seedling planting, and especially relates to an Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl. cutting breeding method and an Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl. transplant method. The cutting breeding method comprises preparing a cutting medium, processing cuttings, performing cutting and performing management after cutting; the process of preparing the cutting medium comprises preparing an original cutting medium and performing disinfection on the original cutting medium, wherein the original cutting medium comprises coconut shell powder, peat soil and perlite with a volume ratio of (2-3):(1-2):(1-2); the process of processing cuttings comprises processing the base parts of the cuttings by a rooting agent, wherein the rooting agent comprises at least one of naphthylacetic acid, indole acetic acid and indolebutyric acid; the process of management after cutting comprises moisture management and temperature management; and cutting seedling transplant can be performed 50-65 days after the cutting breeding, and then transplant management is performed. The cutting breeding method can ensure fast rooting of the Edgeworthia chrysantha Lindl. cuttings, and the rooted cutting seedlings have strong living ability after the transplant, so that the rooting and survival rate of the transplant are increased. Cutting breeding can keep excellent characters of female parents; no variation occurs; and thus uniformity of seedlings is kept.
