The invention discloses a method for producing cutting oil and a mould release agent by using waste engine oil. According to the method, the waste engine oil is extracted for a plurality of times by using a surface active agent,, namely n-octanoic acid hot water solution, the obtained oily solution is distilled for collecting lightweight oil, and the cutting oil is produced by complementing other components according to a design scheme; the obtained aqueous solution is filtered by using a fine screen, so that the dust or metal debris precipitate in extract liquor can be removed; the contents of an extract and n-octanoic acid in the extract liquor are measured, and the mould release agent can be produced by complementing other components according to a scheme. The method provided by the invention is efficient in production, low in cost, energy-saving and environmentally-friendly, thus having a better market application prospect.
