The invention discloses an automobile charging pile system capable of performing the electric energy measurement virtual load test and a method thereof. The system comprises a power supply module, an AC charging pile and a measurement standard module. The AC charging pile comprises a test dedicated unit, a charging dedicated unit, a changeover switch, a measurement unit, a protection unit and an acquisition and interaction terminal. The power supply module is used for supplying the AC voltage and the AC power supply to the test dedicated unit in a virtual load mode. The changeover switch is used for switching connection of the measurement unit with the charging dedicated unit or connection with the test dedicated unit. The measurement unit is used for measuring electric energy. The protection unit is used for protecting the changeover switch. The measurement standard module is used for measuring the AC electric energy and comparing with the measurement result outputted by the measurement unit so as to determine whether the charging pile measurement unit meets the measurement standard.
