The present invention provides a spot location method of a four-quadrant photoelectric detector based on Gaussian distribution. The method comprises: employing the light intensity distribution of Gaussian model equivalent laser spots on the photosensitive surface of a four-quadrant photoelectric detector, according to the spot center coordinate solution formula to solve (img file='DDA0000984973770000011. TIF' wi='182' he='125'/), then searching a standard normal distribution table to obtain the value of (img file='DDA0000984973770000014. TIF' wi='58' he='95'/) or (img file='DDA0000984973770000015. TIF' wi='192' he='95'/) or (img file='DDA0000984973770000016. TIF' wi='82' he='95'/), and solving the spot center coordinates (x0, y0). The measurement precision of the central position of a laser spot is improved, and the calculation amount is reduced to a large extent so as to realize real-time obtaining of the central position of the laser spot.
