The invention provides a graph database-based power grid GIS modeling method and device. The modeling method comprises the following steps of establishing power grid equipment elements in a power grid GIS system and attribute information of the power grid equipment elements as vertex data according to a data mapping relationship table of topological source data of the power grid GIS system; establishing edge data according to connection relationships between the power grid equipment elements; and establishing a graph data model according to the vertex data and the edge data. Through implementing the modeling method and device, topological relationship management and query performance problems of the power grid GIS system are solved, a graph database-based power grid GIS system topological analysis application prototype system is completed, a novel data management tool and a rapid calculation analysis method are realized, and various requirements of power grid GIS system topological analysis application are supported.
