The invention discloses a characteristic identification method for a fruit dye and belongs to the technical field of textile dye analysis. The method disclosed by the invention comprises the following steps: using an acetic acid/methyl alcohol/water (1:2:1) organic solvent system and a Soxhlet extraction method for performing stripping treatment; performing an ultraviolet scanning test on the extract liquor after extracting the dye from the textile or the dye solution after the extract liquor is subjected to rotary evaporateion and re-dissolved within the wavelength scope from 200nm to 750nm; and qualitatively identifying the fruit dye according to an integral area ratio of a near ultraviolet zone (200-400nm) to a visible light zone (400-750nm). A result proves that the integral area ratio of the near ultraviolet zone to the visible light zone is more than 6 due to the strong absorbing peak in the near ultraviolet zone of the fruit dye. The method disclosed by the invention is simple in operation, the equipment cost is low, and the method can be excellently applied to the research on the analysis and identification for the dye on the textile.
