Provided is an information communication method that enables communication using various devices and that includes the following: a step (SA21) for acquiring a first image by performing image pick-up of a subject; a step (SA22) for detecting the range of a subject on the basis of the first image; a step (SA23) for determining a prescribed exposure line, from a plurality of exposure lines, that picks up an image of the range of the subject; a step (SA24) for setting exposure time for a second image acquired using the prescribed exposure line so that an emission line is generated in accordance with changes in the luminance of the subject; a step (SA25) for acquiring a second image including the emission line by picking up an image, using the prescribed exposure line, of the subject for which luminance changes; and a step (SA26) for demodulating data specified according to the pattern of the emission line included in the second image.
