According to the electric power system intelligent maintenance robot, storage batteries are arranged in a machine body A, a machine body B and a machine body C; an air compressor is arranged on the machine body C; a high-pressure gas cylinder is arranged on the machine body B; a pneumatic tool mounting bracket is mounted on the machine body A; a self-closing valve connector is arranged on the pneumatic tool mounting bracket; snakelike moving chains can imitate a snake to do spatial displacement; the snakelike moving chain between every two machine bodies can realize spatial bending; the machine body A is moved through a snakelike moving chain A, then, the machine body B is moved through the snakelike moving chain A and a snakelike moving chain B, and finally, the machine body C is moved through the snakelike moving chain B; accordingly, when the machine bodies walk at the end of a cable or a tower and need to jump over the barriers, the machine body A can be lifted up to jump over the barriers and then put down; then, the machine body B is lifted up to jump over the barriers and then put down in the same way; and finally, the machine body C is lifted up to jump over the barriers and then put down to get over the barriers.
