The invention discloses application of protein PpLEA3-3 in regulating plant resistance. The protein PpLEA3-3 is a1) or a2) or a3): a1) a protein with an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID 2; a2) a fusion protein obtained by ligating the N-terminal or/and C-terminal of the protein with a sequence shown in SEQ ID 2 with a tag; a3) a resistance-related protein obtained by substitution and/or deletion and/or addition of one or more amino acid residues of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID 2. Through experiments, compared with wild type Arabidopsis thaliana, Arabidopsis thaliana with overexpressed PpLEA3-3 gene has significantly increased resistance. The invention has important application value for breeding new materials with plant resistance.
