本发明提供用于Purley平台服务器系统中PCH ME debug和USB port复用的装置及方法，通过一个二选一的选择器，将ME debug的I2C信号和USB 2.0信号接到外界的USB port。此选择器的功能选择信号连接到BMC，默认的功能设为USB2.0，当我们需要debug ME的时候，通过BMC改变功能选择pin的状态，实现信号的切换。不仅充分利用了外接的USB port功能，同时可以在后期机器组装完成后，快捷简单的实现ME debug的功能。

The invention provides a device and a method for reuse of a PCH MEdebug and a USB port in a Purley platform server system. Through an alternative selector, an I2C signal of an MEdebug and a 2.0 signal of a USB are connected to an external USB port. A function selection signal of a selector is connected with a BMC; a default function is set to be USB2.0; and the state of a function selection pin is changed through a BMC to achieve signal switching when debug ME is needed. The external USB port function is fully utilized, and meanwhile, the function of the ME debug can be quickly and simply achieved after later machine assembly is completed.
