The invention provides a mining area large-scale three-dimensional sequential deformation estimation method and apparatus based on SAR intensity images. The method includes: firstly, generating SAR intensity image pairs from a single radar imaging geometrical SAR intensity image set based on a set spatial-temporal baseline threshold; respectively processing the SAR intensity image pairs by employing a conventional AOT-SAP method to obtain a mining area earth surface multi-time-domain three-dimensional deformation observation value; respectively establishing function models between the mining area earth surface three-dimensional deformation rate and the multi-time-domain three-dimensional deformation observation value in adjacent SAR image periods; and calculating the mining area earth surface three-dimensional large-scale sequential deformation by employing robust estimation. According to the method and apparatus, the severe restriction that the conventional method at least needs more than two different radar imaging geometrical SAR intensity image sets is overcome, the robustness is effectively improved, the cost of mining area earth surface large-scale three-dimensional sequential deformation monitoring is reduced, and the application prospect of the SAR technology in mining areas is greatly widened.
