The invention discloses a perovskite solar cell modified by a carbon nanodot interface and a preparation method thereof. The perovskite solar cell structurally comprises a substrate, a transparent conductive electrode, an electron transport layer, a carbon nanodot layer, a perovskite light absorbing layer, a hole transport layer and a metal electrode. According to the device design that the electron transport layer of the perovskite solar cell is modified by adopting the carbon nanodot interface, synthetic carbon nanodots are applied on an electron transport material layer, so that the electron transport rate is improved, the interface recombination probability is reduced, the photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the perovskite solar cell is improved, the preparation process is simple, and the overall performance of the perovskite solar cell is significantly improved.
