The invention provides a noise generator for electronic equipment test, and a method of testing electrical equipment using the same. The noise generator comprises a noise generation module used for generating test noise, and a noise output terminal connected with the noise generation module and used for outputting test noise to an output voltage fine-adjustment pin to enable a power module to adjust the output voltage at a power output terminal according to the test noise. The method comprises the following steps: receiving an adjustment instruction of a user, and adjusting the type of test noise output by the noise output terminal according to the adjustment instruction; and inputting the test noise to the power module through the output voltage fine-adjustment pin to generate ripple noise at the power output terminal. The problem that the existing noise generator for electronic equipment test cannot generate effective ripple noise at the power output terminal under the condition of high output power and low impedance of the power module is solved.
