The provided resin composition contains (A) a polymethallyl alcohol comprising at least 30 mol% of a repeating structural unit represented in formula (1), and (B) metal ions, wherein there are at least 0.05 [miu]mol of the metal ions (B) for every 1g of polymethallyl alcohol (A). Also provided are a production method of this resin composition, and a molded body containing said resin composition.
