A forceps (10) includes a first portion (12) and a second portion (14). The first portion (12) includes a shaft (90), an end effector assembly (100) disposed at a distal end of the shaft (90), and a drive assembly (130) including a drive bar (132). The end effector assembly (100) includes jaw members (110, 120) movable between spaced-apart and approximated positions. The drive bar (132) is slidably disposed within the shaft (90) and coupled to the end effector assembly (100) such that translation of the drive bar (132) relative to the shaft (90) moves the jaw members (110, 120) between the spaced-apart and approximated positions. The second portion (14) includes a housing (20) (or portion thereof) and a handle assembly (30) including a movable handle (40) that is coupled to the housing (20) and movable relative thereto between first and second positions. The first and second portions are releasably couplable with one another to operably couple the movable handle (40) with the drive bar (132) such that the movable handle (40) is moved to actuate the jaw members (110, 120).
