The invention discloses a positioning method of indoor moving target based on a built-in accelerometer of mobile phone, which mainly solves the problems of complex deployment and large storage space of a positioning system and other issues existing in the existing indoor positioning technology. The method is realized by the following steps of (1) acquiring the accelerometer data; (2) constructing the acceleration mean matrix; (3) calculating the step size of the moving target to be positioned; (4) calculating the direction angle of the moving target to be positioned; (5) determining the location of the moving target to be positioned. The portability of the positioning system is improved while the positioning of indoor moving target is realized by using the built-in accelerometer of mobile phone in the invention, and the storage resources of acceleration matrix are saved by constructing the acceleration mean matrix.
