The invention discloses a method for treating silicon-containing silicon slag. The silicon-containing silicon slag contains at least one of silicon metal, iron oxide, calcium oxide, aluminum oxide, magnesium oxide and silicon oxide. The method comprises the following steps: (1) performing first crushing treatment on the silicon-containing silicon slag to obtain a first crushed material; (2) performing rough separation treatment on the first crushed material to obtain first silicon metal and a rough separation material; (3) performing second crushing treatment on the rough separation material to obtain a second crushed material; (4) performing stage treatment on the second crushed material to obtain staged materials; (5) performing separation treatment on the staged materials respectively to obtain second silicon metal, middlings and tailings respectively, returning the middlings obtained by separation of all the stages to the stages, and further performing separation treatment; and (6) mixing the first silicon metal and the second silicon metal of all the stages gathered in the step (5), and performing melting treatment to obtain a silicon product. The method can achieve the purpose of favorably recycling silicon metal in silicon slag.
