The embodiment of the invention provides a connecting device and a communication method for the same and relates to the technical field of electric car charging, wherein multiple idle charging piles can be used to charge the same electric automobile, and thus use values of the charging piles are increased. The connecting device comprises a communication processing device, a battery connecting end and multiple charging pile insertion-connection ends, wherein the communication processing device is used for combined processing of multiple pieces of charging pile data which is acquired from the multiple charging pile insertion-connection ends; combined charging pile data can be obtained and sent to the battery connecting end; and the combined charging pile data is used for combined indication of charging information of the multiple charging piles. The communication processing device is also use to decompose battery data acquired from the battery connecting end; multiple pieces of battery decomposing data which has the same quantity with the charging pile insertion-connection end quantity can be obtained; the multiple pieces of battery decomposing data is sent to the multiple charging pile insertion-connection ends; and the battery decomposing data is used to indicate battery feedback information corresponding to one of the charging piles.
