The invention relates to the field of preparation of desulfurizers, and especially relates to a copperized zinc steel wire drawing sludge-based desulfurizer and a preparation method thereof. Copperized zinc steel wire drawing sludge undergoes air isolation calcination at 300-600 DEG C and then undergoes oxidation calcination at 300-500 DEG C to obtain the copperized zinc steel wire drawing sludge-based desulfurizer. Organic components volatilize in the calcination process to form pores, and a meat component part is used as a binder to carryout bonding molding in order to form the multi-component desulfurizer with a certain mechanical strength and porous structure. The method for preparing the desulfurizer through directly converting the copperized zinc steel wire drawing sludge has the advantages of no single recovery of contained metals, solving of the discharge problem of pollutants, full utilization of valuable components in the sludge, and reduction of the treatment cost of industrial sludge.
