Provided is a novel imidic acid compound having a divalent anion that is useful as a pharmaceutical intermediate, an agrochemical intermediate, an acid catalyst, a battery electrolyte, and an antistatic agent. The imidic acid compound is a divalent imidic acid compound represented by general formula (1) or (2). [In general formulas (1) and (2), R1-R3 represent a fluorine atom or an organic group selected from among linear or branched C1-10 alkoxy groups, C2-10 alkenyloxy groups, C2-10 alkynyloxy groups, C3-10 cycloalkoxy groups, C3-10 cycloalkenyloxy groups, and C6-10 aryloxy groups; the organic group may contain a fluorine atom, an oxygen atom, or an unsaturated bond. M1 and M2 represent a proton, a metal cation, or an onium cation.]
