The invention discloses a detection method and detection system for an adjusting profile ball. The detection method comprises: actual parameters of adjusting profile balls are obtained and when the actual parameters of the adjusting profile balls meet a preset requirement, the adjusting profile balls are determined to meet the requirement; external diameter values of at least three adjusting profile balls in a same batch are obtained; when a difference of the external diameter values of any two adjusting profile balls is in a first preset range, the adjusting profile balls of the batch are determined to meet the requirement; density values of a plurality of adjusting profile balls in a same batch are obtained; an average density value of the plurality of adjusting profile balls is calculated; and if a difference between the density value of any adjusting profile ball of the batch and the average density value is in a second preset range, the adjusting profile balls of the batch are determined to meet the requirement. In addition, the embodiment of the application discloses a detection method and detection system for an adjusting profile ball. And with the method for detecting whether parameters of adjusting profile balls meet the requirement, only standard products meet requirements can enter the market.
