The invention relates to a modeling prediction method of electrification railway load based on waveform decomposition. The method comprises steps of data preprocessing, waveform decomposition, smooth superposition prediction and result fitting. According to the invention, traction load generation mechanism analysis, electric railway industry load feature research, analysis of traction load generation processes, electric railway industry load feature index analysis and understanding of electric railway load feature rules are achieved. In the waveform decomposition reconstruction, decomposition of trend components, low-frequency gentle slope components, phase step components and high-frequency components of different frequencies in electric railway load is achieved, and the frequency components are reconstructed into a time domain. In the classification prediction superposition, checking of regularity and correlation of frequency components is achieved, smooth extrapolation prediction is performed on quite highly regular components is performed and by superposing the components, a general prediction result is generated.
