The invention provides a medicine for treating hyperthyroidism. The medicine consists of the following ingredients in parts by weight: 9 parts of folium et cacumen murryvae, 6 parts of amorphophallus rivieri durieu, 6 parts of creeping rostellularia herb, 3 parts of livistona chinensis seeds, 1 part of hyoscyamus niger, 1 part of herba geranii, 0.5 part of flos mume and 0.5 part of sunset abelmoschus root. On the basis, the medicine can be further added with 2 parts by weight of trametes robiniphila murr, 2 parts by weight of radix paeoniae alba or 1 part by weight of pyropolyporus fomentarius teng. The medicine prescription provided by the invention is obtained on the basis of reasonable design of the traditional Chinese medicinal ingredients; the medicine, on the hyperthyroidism, is obvious in curative effect and relatively rapid to take effects; and both effective rate and cure rate are better than that of the prior art.
