The invention discloses application of a flueggea acicularis extract in preparation of a medicament for preventing and treating bacterial infection; the flueggea acicularis extract is one of the following structural formulas. The invention further provides a preparation method of the flueggea acicularis extract, and the compounds shown in the following structural formulas are obtained from a plant flueggea acicularis for the first time according to the invention, wherein the compound 1 is a novel compound. The flueggea acicularis extract provided by the invention has a certain inhibitory effect for methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus and/or staphylococcus aureus and can be used for the preparation of a medicament for preventing and treating bacterial infection.
