本发明的含巯基的聚合物用下述通式HS‑(R‑Sr)n‑R‑SH表示，R为含有‑O‑CH2‑O‑键的有机基团和/或支化亚烷基，n为1～200的整数，r为1～5的整数，r的平均值为1.1以上1.8以下。使用本发明的含巯基的聚合物的固化型组合物可用于需要低比重、低粘度、低玻璃化转变温度这种特性的密封材料、粘接剂、涂料等。另外，本发明的固化型组合物的复原性、耐候性有所提高，可用于需要复原性、耐候性的密封材料、粘接剂、涂料等。

This thiol group-containing polymer is represented by the general formula HS-(R-Sr)n-R-SH (R is an organic group and/or branch alkylene group comprising a -O-CH2-O- bond; n is an integer 1 to 200; r is an integer 1 to 5; and the mean value of r is 1.1 to 1.8). A curable composition in which this thiol group-containing polymer is used can be used in sealants, adhesives, paints, and the like where the properties of low specific gravity, low viscosity, and low glass transition temperature are required. This curable composition has improved resilience and weather resistance and can therefore be used in sealants, adhesives, paints, and the like where resilience and weather resistance are required.
