The invention discloses application of carnosine in improvement of salt-resistant ability of lawn grass. The application of carnosine in improvement of salt-resistant capability of lawn grass comprises the following steps of: preferably spraying 8-10mg.L<-1> of carnosine onto the leaf surfaces of the lawn grass; and more preferably, spraying 10mg.L<-1> of carnosine onto the leaf surfaces of the lawn grass. A biological agent for improving the salt tolerance of the lawn grass comprises 8-10mg.L<-1> of carnosine and preferably comprises 10mg.L<-1> of carnosine. The quality of lawn grass treated by carnosine with different concentrations is better than the quality of compared lawn grass. The 8mg.L<-1>, 12mg.L<-1> and 14mg.L<-1> of carnosine which is sprayed onto the leaf surfaces can improve the salt tolerance of festuca arundinacea. The 10mg.L<-1> of carnosine has the best effect on improvement of salt tolerance of the festuca arundinacea. The carnosine which is sprayed onto the leaf surfaces has a positive effect on response of festuca arundinacea to salt stress.
