The invention provides a braking wheel. The braking wheel comprises a middle rack, wheel covers, a braking shaft, a spring and a pin, wherein a wheel cover shaft is arranged on the middle rack; the wheel covers are arranged on two sides of the middle rack and are connected with the wheel cover shaft; a pin hole is formed in the middle rack and positioned between the wheel covers; a shaft hole which penetrates through the pin hole is formed in the pin hole; the braking shaft is arranged in the shaft hole and can vertically move in the shaft hole; the pin is arranged in the pin hole; one end of the spring is abutted to the bottom of the pin hole while the other end of the spring is abutted to the bottom surface of the pin; a hole or groove which is connected with the braking shaft is formed in the pin; each wheel cover is provided with a cylindrical braking surface which is coaxial with the wheel cover; and each braking surface is in contact with the braking shaft. Mechanisms such as an inserting plate of an existing braking wheel can be omitted, the mechanism of the braking wheel is simplified, production is facilitated, and the cost is reduced.
