The invention discloses a making method of cut tobaccos for thin cigarettes and aims at providing a thin cigarette cut-tobacco making method capable of remarkably improving the quality stability of the thin cigarettes. The making method comprises the following steps of tobacco preparation, screening, tobacco washing, tobacco storage, humidity increase, tobacco pressing, tobacco cutting, cut tobacco adding, cut tobacco drying and cut tobacco perfuming. By adopting the making method, the tobacco moistening efficiency is improved, the lignin content is reduced, the sensory quality of the cut tobaccos is improved, the cut tobacco yield is increased, the quality stability of the thin cigarettes is improved, and the production cost and production consumption are reduced.
