The invention provides a magnetic link for measuring lightning current and a production process of the magnetic link. The magnetic link is composed of a functional material and an auxiliary material. The functional material comprises LNG9, LNG10 and ferrite powder, and the auxiliary material comprises a high-valence chromium solution, epoxy powder and zinc stearate. The production process of the magnetic link comprises the following steps that 1, LNG9 and LNG 10 are smashed and ground to be prepared into powder of 100 mesh; 2, the LNG9, the LNG10, the ferrite powder and zinc stearate are prepared in proportion, and powder mixing is carried out; 3, the even powder obtained in the step 2 is placed in a chromium trioxide solution for passivating treatment; 4, the powder obtained after passivating treatment is weighed for compression moulding; 5, the formed magnetic link is baked and shaped for 120 min to 250 min at the temperature of 150 DEG C to 210 DEG C; 6, the surface of the magnetic link obtained in the step 5 is wrapped by a layer of epoxy powder solution, and standing and airing are carried out. The magnetic link is wider in measuring range for measuring the lightning current, better in linearity and smaller in measuring error, and the production process is simple, easy to achieve and suitable for large-scale industrial production.
