The invention relates to the field of feeds, and discloses a solid feed. The solid feed is prepared from the following components according to dry weight on the basis of total weight of the solid feed: 20 to 65wt% of feed carrier, 21 to 75wt% of propylene glycol and 3 to 14wt% of water. The preparation method has the advantages that the operation is convenient, the pollution to environment is avoided, liquid propylene glycol is converted into solid propylene glycol powder with stable property and good fluidity, the problem of perfusion of the liquid propylene glycol for dairy cows is solved, and the high labor intensity caused by perfusion of the propylene glycol is avoided; the problem of inconvenience in long-distance transportation of the liquid propylene glycol is solved, and the solid feed can be directly fed to livestock conveniently or be used as a raw material to conveniently prepare complete feeds.
