The invention discloses a field carrier signal strength debugging method for a power system. The method includes steps of downloading a downlink data set DLF from an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) carrier communication system, wherein the downlink data set DLF1 contains open loop access point distance, carrier signal transmission strength and a signal receiving flexibility value; measuring the receiving signal strength value RS1 of the downlink data set DLF1 through the upper computer; generating modulation code data according to the open loop access point distance, the carrier signal transmission strength, the signal receiving flexibility value and the receiving signal strength value RS1; and generating an uplink data set ULF according to the modulation code data and sending the ULF to the OFDM carrier communication system. The method also includes steps of downloading a second downlink data set DLF, wherein the receiving signal strength value of the downlink data set DLF is defined according to a relational expression RS1=PTX_POS-PSEN. The method provided by the invention can be employed by maintenance workers of a power management department or a testing unit for field use and is used for quantitative and qualitative analysis of carrier signal data; debugging convenience is brought.
