The invention relates to a day-ahead power generation plan compilation method of bilateral transaction and an apparatus thereof. The method comprises the following steps of constructing a day-ahead power generation plan target function; using the day-ahead power generation plan target function to configure planned electrical output and/or transaction electrical output of each unit; and based on the planned electrical output and/or the transaction electrical output of each unit, compiling a power generation plan. By using the method and the apparatus, based on a unit start stop plan, minimum total cost of a system and a minimum deviation value of different component electric quantities are taken as an object and one group of optimal unit output plan is determined so as to satisfy a system load and a standby demand and simultaneously satisfy constraints of an upper limit/a lower limit of the unit output, a climbing rate/a landslide rate, a power transmission equipment conveying capability and the like; and safe and economic operation of a power grid and coordination unification of different component electric quantity execution can be guaranteed.
