The invention relates to the technical field of automobile part structures, in particular to a novel structure for expanding the function of a luggage carpet. The structure comprises a face board and two groups of support legs which are arranged in the X direction at intervals and supported at the lower end surface of the face board. Each group of support legs comprises two support legs arranged in the Y direction at intervals. The upper ends of the support legs rotate around the X direction, and are hinged to the lower end surface of the face board. The lower ends of the support legs are provided with fixing structures which can fix the support legs to the exterior ground of an automobile. The luggage carpet which is below the support legs is provided with a support limit structure which can adjust the opening angle of the two groups of support legs to make the face board flush with the upper end surface of a lowered rear seat. The lower ends of the support legs are supported by the support limit structures when the face board is above a luggage carrier. The novel structure for expanding the function of the luggage carpet has the advantages of being simple in structure, convenient to use, capable of enormously expanding the function of the automobile luggage carpet, bringing convenience to the outdoor activity of automobile drivers, thus having a huge promotion value.
