Provided is a pleated filter configured such that a filter base material having folds forming alternate ridges and troughs is formed in a cylindrical shape so that the axial direction of the cylindrical shape is aligned with the direction in which the ridges of the folds extend. Bonded reinforced sections extending in the direction in which the ridges of the folds extend are provided at the troughs which protrude toward the inside of the cylindrical shape.
