The invention discloses a device and a system used for storing a metering appliance. The device comprises a storage frame, an optical sensor and a controller, wherein the storage frame is used for storing the metering appliance; the optical sensor is arranged opposite to the storage frame and used for storing images of the metering appliance on the storage frame; and the controller is connected with the optical sensor and used for receiving the images acquired by the optical sensor so as to recognize the metering appliance on the storage frame. According to the device and the system disclosed by the invention, a problem that a metering appliance storage mode in related technologies cannot ensure the accuracy of inventory information is solved.
