The invention discloses a PMS coding compression method and device. The method comprises the following steps: searching character coding values of 16 bytes corresponding to codes of 16 bytes of electrical equipment according to a preset coding table; storing the character coding values of 16 bytes according to such a manner that each 4 bytes form a group and each byte contains 6 bits, wherein each group contains character coding values of 24 bits; coding the character coding values of 24 bits in each group according to such a manner that each byte contains 8 bits, and compressing 4 types in each group into 3 bits in each group. By adoption of the PMS coding compression method and device disclosed by the invention, the technical problem that the codes of the electrical equipment in a PMS system do not satisfy the storage capacity and the storage format of an EPC area of a RFID label in the prior art is solved.
