The invention provides a visible-light-catalysis-function fabric and a preparing method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of catalysts. The visible-light-catalysis-function fabric is that the surface of a fabric body is loaded with a g-C3N4 layer. The preparing method of the visible-light-catalysis-function fabric includes the steps that the fabric body is treated through alkali liquid; the fabric body is modified through a positive-ion modifying agent; a water solution of g-C3N4 quantum dots is obtained through ultrasonic dispersion and filtration, the modified fabric body is put into the water solution of the g-C3N4 quantum dots for 1 h or above. In the visible-light-catalysis-function fabric prepared with the method, the surface of the fabric body and the g-C3N4 have the large combining force, and the g-C3N4 quantum dots are fixedly deposited on the fabric body, and can not fall off; the contact area between the g-C3N4 and dye is increased, and the treatment efficiency of printing and dyeing wastewater is improved; recycling of the g-C3N4 quantum dots is convenient.
