The present invention is a method for manufacturing an optical film, said method being characterized in that an optical film that is obtained by extrusion molding a specific block copolymer hydride [D] and a protective film in which at least one surface section comprises a resin [E] that has a flexural modulus of 1,500 MPa or less at 23 °C and a viscosity of 0.1 N/cm or less by peel strength at 23 °C with respect to the optical film that comprises the block copolymer hydride [D] are stacked and wound such that the surface section of the protective film that comprises the resin [E] and the optical film face each other. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing an optical film that has no scratches, flaws, or peel marks on the surface thereof and that comprises a specific block copolymer hydride that can be applied to a polarizing plate protective film, a phase difference film, a substrate film for a transparent adhesive film, or the like.
