The invention relates to a textile machine and a method for employing sucked air on working stations of the textile machine. The textile machine (1) comprises a plurality of working stations (4) which are respectively provided with a suction channel (10) with at least one suction channel opening (12). The suction channel opening (12) is arranged in the region of the working station (4) for the suction of fiber-containing air, negative pressure can be applied to the suction channel (10) for suction of air. The sucked air is conducted through a filter element (8) for filtering the sucked air to an exhaust air duct (14) for discharging the filtered air. The overpressure can be applied to the exhaust air channel (14) for discharging the filtered air through at least one exhaust air duct opening (16). The textile machine (1) is characterized in that the at least one exhaust air duct opening (16) is arranged into an encapsulated hollow cavity of a function unit configured to a single working station (4) or a plurality of working stations (4).
