The invention discloses a corynebacterium glutamicum strain and applications of the corynebacterium glutamicum strain in the fermentation production of L-tryptophan. L-tryptophan can be obtained through direct fermentation of the corynebacterium glutamicum FNT112 provided by the invention, and the content of L-tryptophan in the fermentation liquor obtained through the industrial fermentation achieves 40.5g/L. The corynebacterium glutamicum FNT112 has the significant application value and industrial prospect.
