A synthesis method of a carbenicillin sodium drug intermediate diethyl phenylmethylene malonate comprises the following steps of adding 1.3mol diethyl malonate, 1.6-1.9mol benzylamine alcohol solution, 500ml cyclohexane, 1.5mol alumina and 200ml methylbenzene into a reaction vessel, rising the solution temperature to 80-85 DEG C, performing backflow for 5-8h, reducing the solution temperature to 60-65 DEG C, continuing reaction for 80-110min, reducing the solution temperature to 10-17 DEG C, standing for 2-5h, laminating the solution, taking out an oil layer, washing with an oxalic acid solution and a potassium sulfite solution, extracting for 5-7 times with a dimethylbenzene solution, merging extracts, performing dehydration with a dehydrant and reduced pressure distillation, collecting a fraction at 110-117 DEG C, and performing recrystallization in acetonitrile to form crystal diethyl phenylmethylene malonate.
