The double-power system of the heavy rail car suitable for the high altitude area is matched with a hydraulic transmission box, and therefore after the power of the engines is lowered in the high altitude area, the highest running speed of a car single machine on a flat and straight lane reaches 120 km/h, the engines, the oil supply system and the power generator set are connected through the electric heating pipelines, fuel oil solidification of a high and cold area is prevented, and the low temperature storage battery set is adopted, the low temperature starting requirement of a plateau area is met.
