The invention discloses an improved intelligent electrical sectioning device for an alternating current electrified railway. The improved intelligent electrical sectioning device comprises two change-over switches, two connecting wires from the first change-over switch to a supply arm and a neutral area of a first anchoring section joint conversion area, two connecting wires from the second change-over switch to a supply arm and a neutral area of a second anchoring section joint conversion area, voltage and current sensors for detecting the two change-over switches and the connecting wires thereof, etc., wherein the ends of the two change-over switches are connected with each other, and the change-over switches are provided with parallel impedances. According to the device, based on voltage and current information of the two change-over switches and the two connecting wires thereof from the mutually connected ends to the neutral areas, the real-time positions of train pantographs in the anchoring section joint conversion areas and the neutral areas are judged accurately, and technical guarantee is provided for safe and reliable switching of power supply during operation of different trains in the neutral areas. According to the device, the two connecting wires from each change-over switch to the supply arm and the neutral area of the anchoring section joint conversion area can restrain and even eliminate arcs when the pantographs enter or leave from the neutral areas.
